Clemson escaped with a 21-20 road win over a hungry North Carolina squad on Saturday afternoon.
It was the 20th straight win for No. 1 Clemson. Twitter had some interesting takes on the ACC win by the Tigers: Clemson survives, but now everyone will say they're not the No. 1 team in the country, so Dabo can go back to playing the underdog card.
One thing is certain after today: Clemson should NOT be ranked No. 1 in the new poll. In case fans are not aware of y the effort of UNC in losing 21-20 vs Clemson was so impressive they lost to Appalachian St 34-31 . To me that is y if I am voting ALABAMA would be my choice as # 1 !
I admire Mack Brown for going for 2 and the win at home with 1:17 left vs No. 1 Clemson. Absolutely the right decision. I didn't love the option play called - Clemson is too well coached and fast. Need to trick 'em. But loved the spirit and guts.

So far Clemson with Trevor Lawrence this year reminds me an awful lot of defending champ Florida State in 2014 with Jameis Winston. Just not crisp. They were very lucky to win today.

You can argue all you want about who's No. 1. Clemson is still undefeated. It feels a little like Notre Dame last year, though I would argue Irish sked last year might've been tougher than Tigers this year. Have to go back and look.
The team with the 13th best record in the ACC looked better than Bama against Clemson.
If I'm an AP voter, I think I'm probably voting Alabama No. 1 this week. Will be curious to see how tomorrow shakes out.
