The committee would most certainly not have put 3 teams from any conference in the same regional. We have a great regional and have a great reason to advance if we pitch well.

If the committee were fair then they would. Also I’m fine with our regional. I just find it interesting to see what a different bracket would look like based on RPI.

I just think this example is a bettor way to seed Regionals then the way we are doing it now. Makes it more fair. The number one seed gets the 16 ranked 2 3 and 4 seeds. While the 16 seed gets the #1 ranked 2, 3 and 4 seeds. And you just rank the rest like that.

Why would you seed 2-4 via RPI and not 1-16 also?

this method really would’t make sense

For this hypothetical bracket I chose just to keep the top 16 seeds as they were and rank the rest on RPI. (I had to literally right down every seeds rpi ranking then take the time to rerank them into this bracket. It was just easier to keep the first 16.)Tho you can also just have all the 1 2 3 and 4s ranked by RPI instead.

Why would the 2/3/4 seeds be based on RPI while the 1 seeds are not?
If you want to do an RPI-based bracket, you have to start with the 1s.

1 it was easier to do that way and 2 I was going off of a hypothetical scenario where there was a compromise where the first 16 seeds would be seeded as they usually would and then the rest were ranked by RPI. You could honestly do it either way. All of this is just hypothetical. I think either one of these scenarios ( Ranking all seeds with RPI or just the 2 3 and 4s) would be bettor then what we have now.

Northeastern has a really great starting rotation. Tigernet would be in absolute meltdown mode when we struck out 15 times in a game against a mid major program.

Yea don’t get me wrong I’m so glad we have West Virginia over Northeastern. All of this is just hypothetical. We got lucky in our seeding but others did not. I bet you other teams would rather have this bracket then the one we are sing now.

Yeah I agree. I like our Regional a lot, if we show up and pitch well we will advance, but if we stumble or one of the starters gets yanked after like 2 innings and we need to get into the bullpen early you could reasonably argue for any of these 4 teams to advance.
