Somewhere to annoy? The rest can stay for their yearly crow, due out in a little over 3 months.

It’s OK. We are not playing like a #1 team..... yet. When TL gets his mojo back, we will spank all of Finebaums SEC favs.

but it really doesn't matter where the Tigers are ranked right now. Makes absolutely no difference.

David Hale's tweet is just not true. 1982 Pitt did win by a point to #5 UNC. However, they ended up losing 3 games and finished the season #9 in the coaches poll and #10 in the AP. 1988 Miami beat #15 Michigan by a point, but they lost a game and ended up #2 in both polls. 1990 Notre Dame beat #24 Michigan state by a point, but 3 games and ended up #6. 1992 Miami beat Arizona by a point, but got beaten by Alabama 34-13 for the coalition national championship and ended the season #3. It's embarrassing that TNet didn't know that one and reposted it blindly, because that was Dabo's senior year at Bama and he was a starting wide-receiver for Gene Stallings.
So yeah, four AP #1 teams in history before today have won a game by a point in September. None of them won the championship (although all four ended the season in the top 10). I'd probably remove that tweet (Hale's deleted it already).

No matter where the Tigers end up in the AP and Coaches polls, I'm not positive but don't believe any of those clowns have a vote.

I thought Twitter was something that ladies do for self pleasuring. I can only imagine the Clemson lady fans reaction. I don’t think we should be commenting on it

I would be inclined to agree if Bama jumped to #1 but disagree with Matt Miller's statement that Clemson should be behind Ohio St and Oklahoma. UGA and LSU had bye weeks. Ohio St and Oklahoma should not jump them. So, he is saying Clemson should drop from #1 to #6? That would be a stretch. Either way, these things always take care of themselves. If Clemson goes 13-0 with a power 5 conference title, they are playoff bound. Just. Keep. Winning.
