UCLA Ends Clemson's Season in Round of 16

LOS ANGELES, CA--David Estrada scored two goals and Sal Zizzo scored one goal and assisted on another in leading 14th-ranked UCLA to a 3-0 win over ninth-ranked Clemson in the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament's Round of 16 at Los Angeles, CA Sunday night.

In the NCAA Tournament, UCLA is seeded eighth and Clemson is seeded ninth.

UCLA has a 12-5-4 record overall and advances to the NCAA's Final Eight. Clemson finishes the season with a 13-5-2 record.

This was the 22nd time that Clemson has advanced to the NCAA Tournament's Final 16 in the school's history, eighth time under Head Coach Trevor Adair.

UCLA scored first at the 10:40 mark. David Estrada scored off a rebound that was first shot by Zizzo.

In the 25th minute, Zizzo scored on a diving header after Kyle Nakazawa sent a free kick into the box. This was Zizzo's fifth goal of the year.

Estrada scored his 10th goal of the season with a shot from close range with only :41 seconds left to go in the match.
