FSU suspends two players for throwing punches during Clemson game |
It was just an ugly and embarrassing home loss for the Seminoles on Saturday afternoon.
The winning score of 59-10 by Clemson didn't even summarize the utter brutality and humiliation of the defeat as Florida State players reportedly quit on their coaches and two Noles were seen throwing punches at the opposition. Florida State coach Willie Taggart said Monday that wide receiver Nyqwan Murray and backup linebacker Zaquandre White would be suspended for the first half of the North Carolina State game for throwing punches at Clemson players. Taggart said there were no positives to take away from that dumpster fire of an effort by his team. "No. That was embarrassing," Taggart said. "You don’t take positive from embarrassment. We’ve got to learn. We’ve got to teach as coaches and make sure we have our players (inaudible), and like I say, everybody has got to step up and give FSU everything we have. FSU has been good to all of us, and we all owe it to our school, our fan base and all to be at our best every time we step out on the football field, and it’s disappointing we were that way on Saturday, and we’ve all got to see to it it’s never that way again."
