Clemson 2015 defensive end commit Clelin Ferrell will have surgery on Friday to repair his torn ACL. He will more than likely miss the entire football season.
The injury occurred in a scrimmage against Bishop O'Connel during a non-contact play. The 6-5, 225-pound DE prospect chose Clemson over offers from Boston College, Charlotte, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Iowa, LSU, Marshall, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and others. He committed to Clemson on 6/4/14. As a junior, Ferrell recorded 60 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and 11.5 sacks.
