He did miss a lot of time, but if the Braves continue to improve, he continues to play well and the Brave make the playoffs I think he would have a good shot. Yeah, he may not have the numbers for a full year, but the proof is in the difference he makes in the lineup. Look how bad they started.

I believe the Braves would be on top of their division of the still had Freddie Freeman and Dansby Swanson. The SS position had been a hole with average defense and no offense since the Braves pulled another boneheaded move by letting two of the top producing players at their position in Braves organization get away.

It is going to cost the Braves more $$$$$ than they saved to fill the hole at SS.

If you compare DS’s stats to other top SS’s they are well above average.
