I have a feeling that we are going to destroy LSU.

For four reasons:
1. We are talented and experienced, especially at key position groups.
2. We are due to have a great opening performance after playing poorly to start 2023 and 2024.
3. We will be especially motivated to beat an SEC team since we are 0-3 in our last few games against them.
4. Brian Kelly is their coach.
I am excited to dominate LSU and show them what the real Death Valley is all about.

We never have much success with LSU. So, I just want a WIN!!!
Barely beat them in the Peach Bowl, lost the National Championship in New Orleans, lost the Sugar Bowl when they won the National Championship back in ~1958. I expect a TOUGH game...
We need to win by at least One (1) point, and anything else is just icing on the cake.
We need the 'W' to start the season! I expect us to win, but a talented LSU team will not lay down.
Kelly almost beat us in Death Valley (going for 2) when he coached Notre Dame in a very tight rain game. He is making this game a 'Big Deal' for his team! Dabo better have the Tigers ready.
Go Tigers, Beat LSU.....

Second, I don't think we will destroy them but do believe ww will win comfortably. We are talented, but so are they. Experience at key positions is what sets our team apart from theirs.

Duke beat us 28-7 in our 2023 season opener, and Georgia beat us 34-3 in our 2024 season opener.
Based on talent level, we were far more talented than Duke and were favored by 12.5 points, yet they beat us by 21 points.
Georgia was more talented than us last year, but not by much based on recruiting rankings. They were favored by 12.5, but beat us by 31 points.
These are the facts. I think most people would deduce that we were unprepared and overmatched. If you are arguing otherwise, I'd love to hear how you came to your differing conclusion.

I think it’ll be a close game.
We shouldn’t expect the defense to be at their best in game one under Tom Allen. Secondary will go through some early struggles and busted coverages.
We don’t have an alpha at RB. So LSU should be able to make us one dimensional on offense.
I think Cade + our DL will win a one possession game for us.

I would prefer to play them after a game or two but you can count on this game being very hot and tough for both teams giving their best.
I certainly hope we win and come out healthy afterwards without any big injuries.
LB play will be big in this game as LSU you will do their best to stretch our defense and keep us guessing.
We just need to be consistent for four quarters and we will win as our crowd takes over!

I have reliable sources and the word is that Brad is kind of a buzz kill and Dabo has to limit how.much interaction Brad has with recruits. That goes for basketball too. Dabo is recruiting both sports now basically until Brad is confident enough and ready to do it on his own. Perfect example was Dabo had a birthday party to go to for his college roommate, his Mom, so Dabo could attend the McNeese State game. We'll, we all saw what happened. Brad is not ready to do it on his own. He's getting there though.

I agree with the end result but lets analyze your reasoning...
1) we are talented but i would dare say LSU's roster has more talent in totality than ours!!!
We are, however, very experienced with our starting talent across the board so that helps!!!
2) due for a let down or great opening is a dumb reason...makes zero sense and has zero impact
3) we will be motivated to beat a high ranking SEC team of the caliber and namesake of LSU ... but has zero to do with past performance...yet you know this
4) ??? Well nevermind...even you know this is really a dumb thing to say...then again...it is you!!!

Best to approach this game as the underdog regardless of what Vegas thinks. Thinking we are to rout LSU is just irrational. A win would be great, but let us keep our expectations reasonable.

I hope you are right. They’re CFP contenders by quite a few analysts. They have had a couple of great recruiting classes, along with the #1 portal class.
Hopefully they won’t mesh/gel in time for game 1.

If we are ready to play in our 1st game we will win by 12 to 14 pts. They can not match up with our defense and you know we will score. I don’t care what the odd makers say, it won’t be close.
