Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was ranked 31st as a head coach in the 150-year history of college football on Tuesday, among four former Tiger coaches on the list.

Swinney is the second-best current coach, only trailing Alabama's Nick Saban (2):

"Swinney was Clemson's wide receivers coach when he was named interim head coach after Tommy Bowden resigned six games into the 2008 season He was a surprising pick to replace Bowden after that season, and then he awakened a once-dormant program not long after. The Tigers won national championships in 2016 and '18 and don't seem ready to slow down anytime soon."

The first former Clemson coach on the list is John Heisman, at No. 30, who spent four seasons at the school in the middle of stops at schools such as Georgia Tech, Auburn and Rice as well.

Danny Ford ranked No. 73 and Frank Howard, No. 124.
