Five Tigers earn ACC top weekly player grades |
While no Tigers were voted ACC players of the week for Saturday's 35-6 win over Duke, that doesn't mean there weren't standout performances.
Five Tigers graded highly in Pro Football Focus' ACC Team of the Week, led by the only 90 percentile grade from freshman receiver Justyn Ross (90). Joining Ross were ACC-leading QB Trevor Lawrence (83.2), as well as top D-line efforts from Dexter Lawrence (83.2) and Christian Wilkins (82.2) and another strong performance from LB Tre Lamar (76.4). Ross hauled in four catches in five targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. Lawrence tossed two more touchdown passes with 277 total yards. On the defensive side, Wilkins posted a sack, five tackles and a pass breakup, Lawrence broke up two passes and added four stops and Lamar posted eight tackles, a pass breakup and a QB hurry.
