I noticed on some of the video from our practice drills like the PAW drill that most of the players have the external white padding on the helmets, but some don't have the extra padding.  Why don't they all have it?

I didn't notice anyone that didn't have it on, but will take your word for it. I don't think the kickers wear them. I am not sure if I remember the quarterbacks wearing them since defenders haven't been allowed to hit the quarterbacks in the fall so far. We will be back at practice next Thursday and will try to notice and will ask.

Is it too earl to ask which freshmen will pay? Thanks.

It is early for some, but at this point I think we have a decent indication on several. Dabo says Hunter Johnson will play even if he is third team. I am not sure about Chase Brice yet. Travis Etienne will play. Both Amari Rodgers and Tee Higgins will play. I think all three offensive linemen could red-shirt unless and injury forces them to play. I think Jordan Williams has a shot too avoid a red-shirt. I am not sure yet about Spector, Rudolph or Foster. A.J. Terrell will play. Williams may play but could use a red-shirt to get stronger. Hope this helps but remember injuries can change this.

Your legends Friday segment on your Friday shows are the best thing I have heard on WCCP. The Ray Williams interview was amazing. I have really enjoyed Homer, Rodney, Coach Jordan, Tree, Bill Spiers, and Steve Fuller. My question is will these continue in football season? If so, any idea who you will have on and when? Thank you and keep up the good work.

Thank you for the kind words. I love these interviews. I am like a kid interviewing my idols. When I had Steve Fuller on I was like Chris Farley interviewing Paul McCartney. LOL. We are working on several guys. The schedules depends on their schedule and it changes at the last minute sometimes, but yes, we will continue to keep doing them on Fridays. I will try to give you a heads up on twitter on the upcoming guests ASAP. Thanks again.

Clemson seems to have an embarrassment of riches at quarterback. Enter Trevor Lawrence next year - what will give ? Redshirt for him ? Kelly move to slot / hb  for Hunter to drive the bus ? Cooper is too talented to ride the bench. So much talent at this position I have to expect some transfers. I think all of our qbs could start on most any team. Your thoughts ?

Also, I have read very little about Feaster preseason. Seems like Etienne has surpassed expectations, which is great. Do you think Feaster was possibly overrated out of high school ? Mike Bellamy comes to mind there.

This spring will be one of the most interesting I have seen at Clemson. Bryant will be a senior and may be the incumbent. I am sure Cooper, Johnson and Brice will continue to develop. However, Lawrence is the best I have ever seen and will get a shot this spring.

I don't think Feaster is a bust. He played behind the guy that broke the school record for single season rushing in Gallman. He is just in his second year. Some kids take a little longer to develop and Feaster may be that guy. I would be shocked if Feaster doesn't become a huge contributor this season.
