I’m honestly ok with this. I know some people would rather Knaak pitch game one and I understand their reasoning, But for me I would rather save our ace for the 2/3 seed. I know that looking ahead in most cases is really dangerous but in this case I think it’s necessary. You have to save your ace for the bettor team. Let’s hope this works out. Go Tigers!

Exactly my point, and like I"ve said before...if we can't beat Upstate with our #2 or 3 guy, then weren't going very far to begin with. Guys like Titsworth, Bell, Bailey or whoever the 3 guy will be, will need to beat some big time teams after this anyway. This run will be more on the offense than anything imo, they have to consistently drive in runs and not be leaving guys stranded on 3rd with less than 2 outs all the time.

Honestly yea we need to be more worried about our offense than defense/pitching. I’m more confident in our pitching for the first 2 or 3 games than I am with our offense. If we are to get out of regionals then our bats need to get hot. Or at least score more runs then our pitching allows.

The other good reason is the weather. It looks sketchy for Friday. If you run Knaak out there and he throws a couple of innings and then there is a rain delay he could be done for the evening.
