The only real way to have a playoff is by having 64 (maybe more) teams and starting the playoff during the season so students who are athletes won't have football interrupt their education.

The first few rounds will be held at the higher ranked teams home stadiums. Each conference will hold these first rounds and the outcome of them will be in bowl sites.

Each conference subdivides their teams into pods rather than divisions. A 16 team conference would have 4 pods with 4 teams. Pod winners play each other until the final when the best team is determined on the field disregarding ESPN, Fox and all news hype.

Preseason polls would mean squat along with all other media hype. It would end the arguments about who should be included and other bowl games would continue as is.

Skankly didn't create this situation but he's dead set on taking advantage of it. Like slum lords some might consider him an opportunist.

All that sounds like a different form of what we wanted a few years ago: conference championship, however determined, is first round(s) of a playoff. Fine. If it keeps two teams from the same conference from playing for the Championship, I'm for it.

The SEC and B1G are working together (along with ESPN and Fox) to create a SuperLeague that will break away from NCAA government.

Accept that premise, then everything the SEC says and does makes perfect sense.

The good news is, whatever form that SuperLeague takes Clemson and FSU will be part of it.

rest of college football can get back to some semblance of competition. So tired of their BS, and the other conference commissioners just bend over and take it up the anus and say "Thank You Sir, May I have Another?" And then, looks like the BIG is ready to oblige.
