In the show, East coach Brandon Matich called Thomas "the most explosive athlete I've ever seen come off the line of scrimmage in my 20 years of coaching high school football."

Thomas has totaled seven tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and 11 QB hurries in his first season with IMG, posting 31 total tackles (24 solo) with two passes defended and a touchdown fumble recovery.

Thomas said his energy play-to-play stands out from his game.

"My motor's always running," Thomas said. "I'm just a relentless football player."
