Derion Kendrick injury update

Clemson cornerback Derion Kendrick was seen leaving early for the locker room right before halftime of the game with Syracuse on Saturday. After the game Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney provided an injury update.

"He was having a back spasm," Swinney said. "Every time he would run it would lock up on him."

Kendrick's injury gave Mario Goodrich a chance to play and he came up with a huge interception for the Tigers in the red zone.

"Mario did a great job," Swinney said. "I've really been encouraged with what we have seen out of him in camp. It's great for him to have a little success. That will be huge for him and his confidence."

Swinney said that the Tigers are in "a good spot" overall health-wise coming out of the game.
