Clemson quarterback
Kelly Bryant went into the locker room early with the training staff with a minute to go in the first half against Georgia Southern.
During Dabo Swinney's interview with ESPN, he said that he didn't know the injury status of Bryant but he told Swinney that he was breathing heavy. In the second quarter during a designed run, he had an awkward collision where he landed on the football and his helmet hit the ground hard. For the game, he is 7-for-10 for 68 passing yards. Update: Bryant did not come out of the locker room at the start of the third quarter. Update 2: Bryant still in the locker room with 10:36 left in the third quarter. Update 3: Bryant still out with 7:00 minutes left in the third quarter. Update 4: Clemson trainers refused to give an update to ESPN about Bryant's injury midway through the third quarter. Update 5: Bryant is coming out of the locker room at the two-minute mark in the third quarter. He doesn't have a helmet with him. Update 6: Clemson's Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott said during postgame interviews that Bryant has a chest bruise injury. Update 7: Swinney said during his postgame press conference that Bryant is doing "good." His heart was racing and they checked it out with an EKG machine and he should be fine.
