CLEMSON - Clemson starting weakside linebacker
Kendall Joseph injured his groin this week in practice and will not make the trip to Atlanta when Clemson plays Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney confirmed to TigerNet Friday morning that Joseph will miss the game after tweaking his groin. Joseph has started all three games and logged 139 total snaps. He's accounted for 11 total tackles, one sack, a pass breakup and a quarterback pressure. Next up on the depth chart is graduate linebacker J.D. Davis, who has logged 11 tackles (1 for loss) in 74 snaps this season. Behind him is redshirt sophomore Shaq Smith, a former 5-star prospect, with 33 snaps, five tackles and 1.5 TFL in 2018.
