On a typical Clemson home game, you will see a myriad of different fans ready to cheer on their beloved Tigers inside Death Valley for seven special times a season.

Occasionally, you will see a pet dog or cat at someone's tailgate as part of the weekend festivities for families. However, a duck named Ruby was spotted at TigerTown to take a peek at Clemson-Wake Forest.

The lucky duck was seen on a leash before the game with orange booties and adorned with Clemson-themed ribbons.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney used a story back in 2010 with ducks and eagles to describe people that just complain all the time.

"It is a true story about this guy who is actually a cab driver in New York City," Swinney said. "It’s a really great story about the power of attitude. Some people sit around and whine and complain, like a bunch of ducks, all quacking at the same time. Other people choose to soar like eagles, and rise above their circumstances. You have a choice every day to be an eagle or a duck. I shared that with the team, and I told them I didn’t want a bunch of ducks that I wanted them soaring. I ask them, ‘are you quacking or are you soaring today?’ They have related really well to that, and that just popped into my head yesterday."
