The nation's top-rated sophomore cornerback announced a Clemson offer on Friday.

Virginia Beach's Tony Grimes, who is also rated the No. 1 player in his state, tweeted out the news.

"I need to thank the Lord, My family, and coaches for having me Receive an offer from Clemson University," Grimes said.

Grimes already holds offers from Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, Michigan, South Carolina and Texas A&M among more Power 5 programs.

Grimes is a second highly-rated sophomore prospect from Virginia to announce a Clemson offer in as many days, joining 4-star DT KaTron Evans.
