Head coach Dabo Swinney shared during Clemson's National Signing Day broadcast that freshman defensive lineman Logan Cash had a major health scare on Monday.
"Logan is at home because he had to have his appendix taken out," Swinney said. "(He had) emergency surgery last Monday morning. They had to call 911 and rush him to the hospital. His appendix had ruptured a little bit. So he is on IVs and all that. He should be back and ready to go for spring practice, but he is still recovering from that this week. I think he is actually coming back today for a doctor check. Anyway Logan Cash you will love him. Big-time athlete." In 2018, Cash played just seven games but had 40 tackles, including 13 tackles for loss and five sacks. Cash led the state of Georgia in sacks in 2017 with 23 and had 40 tackles for loss among his 101 tackles.
