4-star 2016 defensive end Xavier Kelly TigerNet spoke with Kelly on Sunday night and he said he was able to tour Death Valley, the football facilities and the academic side of Clemson. The talented defensive end prospect was very excited about the possibilities of studying management at Clemson. "It's great!," Kelly said. "They have great resources and are going to make sure you graduate." He also said that he got to hang out with most of the coaches at Clemson while on the visit and will try to revisit Clemson during its annual recruiting cookout in July. Kelly decided to back away from his in-state Kansas State commitment in mid-March and explore more of his college options. His offers include Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Baylor, Clemson, Colorado, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Wisconsin. Clemson offered on 3/25/15. Michigan is one school to watch since he has family in the area and his father grew up there. Kelly got several schools attention when he measured in at 6'5" and 230 pounds and ran a verified 4.55 40-yard dash at the Nike Dallas Regional "The Opening." Since then, he has accepted an invite to the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl. He is also a standout basketball player who led East high to the 6A state title. His recruiting plan is to release his top group of schools by the end of the summer. Had a great time at Clemson! ???? pic.twitter.com/pwwU220TYV
