Coastal Carolina football is one of a number of S.C. coastal university athletic teams displaced by the incoming Hurricane Dorian. As Clemson has in the past in similar circumstances,
Dabo Swinney and the Tigers opened the doors of the indoor facility for the Chanticleers to practice on Tuesday.
Coastal Carolina is staying in Greenville, per WMBF news, and will head out to a matchup with Big 12 foe Kansas on Friday (Saturday 7 p.m. ET kickoff). Clemson opened its doors to The Citadel in 2017 with Hurricane Irma heading to the coast-line. Two Clemson football players play for Coastal Carolina now, in redshirt senior tight end Shadell Bell and redshirt senior nose tackle Sterling Johnson. Former Clemson quarterback Willy Korn is a co-offensive coordinator and QB coach for the Chanticleers. Southern hospitality!
