Clemson drops multiple spots in Coaches Poll

by - Staff Writer -

Clemson's comeback win over Syracuse didn't win over the coaches in this week's USA TODAY poll.

The Tigers dropped two spots to No. 4 despite having two first-place votes still. They trail Alabama, new No. 2 Georgia and new No. 3 Ohio State, with the top-5 rounded out by Oklahoma.

All of the top-6 in last week's poll were victorious, including Ohio State grabbing a road win over previous No. 9 Penn State. Notre Dame moved up one spot after downing No. 8 Stanford at home.

Continuing a revolving door of ACC teams toward the back of the top-25, NC State debuts at No. 25, while Duke dropped out of the poll after losing at home to now No. 23 Virginia Tech.
