Clemson WR, DB out for Saturday |
TigerNet has confirmed two Clemson players will sit out Saturday's noon kickoff due to disciplinary reasons.
Backup senior cornerback Mark Fields and junior wide receiver Cornell Powell are the two Tigers in question for the Syracuse game (ABC televised). Powell has made his mark on kickoff returns with a 29.3 yards per average. He also has five catches for 63 yards this season. Fields' absence leaves Clemson with two scholarship veterans at cornerback in starters A.J. Terrell and Trayvon Mullen . He has one pass breakup and four stops on the season. With 15 snaps this season, true freshman Mario Goodrich is listed behind Fields on the depth chart.
