Clemson was missing one of its top playmakers down the stretch.
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said that freshman running back Travis Etienne "tweaked" his hamstring in the third quarter. Etienne rushed for a 52-yard touchdown to tie the game at 24-all with just over six minutes left in the third period. He registered just one more carry for six yards with under two minutes left in the third quarter. Etienne totaled five rushes for 68 yards on the night.
