In a tweet before the US Army All-American Bowl, ESPN recruiting analyst Jamie Newberg said "Sammy Watkins just might be the top WR I have seen btw the two all star games."
The two all-star games Newberg was referring to are the US Army All-American Bowl and the Under Armour All-American game. There were several other reports that Watkins was basically unstoppable at the US Army All-American practices.
