Clemson FS/DB target Steven Griffin has committed to Tennessee according to his twitter account. He grew up in Knoxville and went to pre-school with current Volunteer commit Todd Kelly.
In 2013, he had 80 tackles, 11 pass break ups, and three interceptions. He will more than likely end up on the defensive side of the ball at either cornerback or safety. Griffin had offers from Boston College, Charlotte, Clemson, Duke, Georgia Tech, Michigan, North Carolina, N.C. State, Old Dominion, Wake Forest, and others. He had played free safety and quarterback for his high school team. His father, Steve Griffin, played running back at Clemson from 1982-86. Clemson offered on 11/24/13. This is the 9th verbal commitment for the 2015 Tennessee class. Check out his junior highlights here Glad to say I'm committed to the University of Tennessee???? Go #Vols #VFL
