Here’s where it gets really interesting for Georgia Tech: The Yellow Jackets are now being considered on the same level with Lawson’s three top contenders – Auburn (where he’s still officially committed), Tennessee and Clemson. “Georgia Tech is being considered (because of the) great relationship with Pelton,” Lawson [father] said.
“We had a real good visit with the new Georgia Tech defensive line coach, Mike Pelton, over at Georgia Tech today,” the elder Lawson said. “We met with Ted Roof and Paul Johnson … Love Coach Pelton and Coach Roof. Georgia Tech facilities are very nice.”
