The Detroit Lions announced their first round of cuts on Monday and former Clemson cornerback Crezdon Butler was waived according to a team release.

In 2015, Butler appeared in nine games and had three total tackles.

Butler has 24 career tackles and two forced fumbles while playing for seven different NFL teams including Tampa Bay, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Arizona, Washington, Buffalo and Detroit.

He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round (#164 overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft. At Clemson, he finished his collegiate career with 166 tackles, two sacks, and eleven interceptions.
