In-state 2016 wide receiver Bryan Edwards from Conway, S.C. has committed to South Carolina during its Junior Day on Saturday according to his twitter account.
South Carolina and Georgia were his two leaders in his recruitment. Edwards had offers from California, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. South Carolina offered him as a high school freshman which was his first college offer. He had taken visits to Clemson including its Junior Day, the Dabo Swinney Football camp, S.C. State game, Florida State game, South Carolina game and several others. Clemson offered on Dec. 12, 2013 but had not kept in contact with him in several months. As a sophomore, he had 17 receptions for 225 yards and 9 touchdowns. On defense, he had 36 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and 7 pass break-ups. He could possibly grow into a tight end for the Gamecocks.
