4-star 2017 defensive back Stanford Samuels III from Pembroke Pines, FL will visit Clemson next weekend.

Samuels has offers from Akron, Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Louisville, LSU, Marshall, Maryland, UMass, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, N.C. State, Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Purdue, Rutgers, South Carolina, TCU, Temple, Tennessee, Texas, Toledo, UCF, UCLA, USC, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

He has the tenth-most impressive offer list by a 2017 recruit according to rankbyoffers.com.

Florida State and Michigan are two schools that he has high interest in.

As a junior, he had four interceptions and returned two for scores.

He has good size and technique for the cornerback position as he patterns his game after NFL players Patrick Peterson and Richard Sherman. He also plays some quarterback for his high school.

His father Stanford Samuels II played defensive back for Florida State from 1999-2003 and now coaches his son as the defensive coordinator at Pembroke Pines.

Samuels plans to announce his college decision at the 2017 Under Armour All-America Game.
