5-star 2018 defensive end Xavier Thomas has Clemson and South Carolina in his final two schools on Tuesday night according to his Twitter account.
"I appreciate all the schools and coaches who have recruited me, Thomas tweeted. "Leaving my home, my family and my state to attend IMG makes it hard to leave. But it makes it an even easier matter when it is time to return to my home, my family and my state once I graduate from IMG. So, after much talk with my parents. I am committing to returning to my home state of South Carolina to play for either USC or Clemson. I do know which school I will be attending yet. That is a decision that I will make next year after following both schools athletic programs progress, accessing each school's educational opportunities and more importantly after careful consideration of my family's feedback. I also would like to take the moment to give a special thanks to my granddad, grandmom, aunt JoAnn, my parents, and the rest of my amazing family for always being there for me no matter what. God Bless!" Thomas has national offers from Alabama, Clemson, Florida, South Carolina, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, and Wake Forest. He will transfer from Wilson High School in Florence, S.C. to powerhouse IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. in January. In 2014, he had 59 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and 8 sacks. ?? ... ??... ?? pic.twitter.com/Vf6FUNS9VT
