Clemson 4-star wide receiver commit
Amari Rodgers said on his Twitter account on Monday morning that he has a torn labrum and will sit out a portion of his senior football season.
"I will having to get surgery to repair a torn labrum that I injured a few weeks ago in a 7 on 7 tournament...It really hurts that I will have to sit out a part of my senior season, but it is better to get it done sooner than later..If you know me, you know how competitive I am and that I will work my butt off to get back as soon as possible...Minor setback for a major comeback. I will be back.." Rodgers won the Class 4A Mr. Football Back of the Year as a junior with 2511 all-purpose yards and scored 31 total touchdowns including 1600 receiving yards with 23 receiving touchdowns, two punt returns for touchdowns, two kickoff return touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns and an interception return for a touchdown.
