told the AJC that he was "80 percent of the way" committed to Florida while on an unofficial visit over the weekend.

"I just feel at home when I go there (Florida)," Clayton says. "I feel comfortable there. It doesn’t feel like I went anywhere than home when I go there." He grew up a big fan of Florida football.

Clayton has a top four of Auburn, Clemson, Florida and Florida State. Clemson offered on 5/17/15.

He also discussed his recent trip to Clemson for its annual All-In Cookout.

"It is just like Dooly County. There’s nothing there. That’s family. The college is like a big ‘ole town by itself. When you are in Clemson, it is like no place out. When I went to the cookout a few weeks ago, I just saw how big of a family they were with the dancing and the family atmosphere."

Clayton is a consensus 4-star recruit by all the major recruiting services. In 2014, he had 72 tackles and 17 sacks.

His NIKE SPARQ verified stats at a recent camp include a 4.75 40 time, 37.4-inch vertical jump, power throw of 37.0, 4.36 20-yard shuttle and a total SPARQ Rating of 100.03.

The highly regarded prospect has been nominated for the prestigious Under Armour All-American game.
