The Oklahoma City Thunder have waived K.J. McDaniels on Wednesday.

In two preseason games, he averaged 8.2 minutes with 3.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.

If he clears waivers, the 25-year old swingman could report to their G-league affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue or even try to play overseas.

Last season, McDaniels played in the NBA G-League as a member of the Grand Rapids Drive, playing in 31 games and averaging 16.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and nearly 1.2 steals per game. He added in 1.3 blocks in 27.4 minutes per game, while shooting 48.7 percent from the field.

McDaniels, a four-year NBA veteran, averaged 5.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 14.1 minutes per contest as a member of the Houston Rockets in 2016.
