WATCH: FSU defender gets targeting call after nailing Trevor Lawrence |
The Clemson-FSU game was heated in the first half despite the Tigers dominating with a 28-0 lead.
During the second quarter, Florida State safety Hamsah Nasirildeen launched himself into quarterback Trevor Lawrence for a head shot. After the play, Nasirildeen laid on Lawrence for a while and wouldn't let Lawrence get up easily. It wasn't the best look as he was ejected for targeting and Lawrence could only smile about the situation as he apparently didn't suffer any injury from the blow. For the first half, Lawrence is 18-for-31 for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Clemson sidelines didn't like the defender laying on Lawrence after the play ended: Trevor Lawrence took a BIG hit on a scramble and the Clemson sideline did not appreciate it pic.twitter.com/4jexPO81DX
