Boston College has fired its football head coach Steve Addazio according to multiple reports on Sunday.
Addazio had a seven-year overall record of 44-44 and 22-34 in the ACC. The 44 victories were fifth all-time for Boston College coaches. The Eagles finished 6-6 (4-4 ACC) this season and beat Pittsburgh to become bowl eligible. Addazio signed a two-year contract last season as he made $2.6 million in 2019. There is no word yet on who will coach them in a bowl game. ADs deserve to make their own hires if they feel necessary, and I think Martin Jarmond is a good AD. I still wonder who consistently does more at BC than Addazio. Regardless, Daz was a Dude, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed covering him.
