is one of 32 upcoming Georgia seniors nominated to play in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 7. The annual event will be broadcast live on NBC at 1 p.m. Bonner, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound defensive back, is considered by some recruiting analysts to be one of the top 2012 prospects in the country. At one point, he had received scholarship offers from Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina and USC, among others. It is unclear, however, whether he still holds those offers after being charged with one count of misdemeanor theft by taking in the April 7 thefts on the campus of the University of Georgia. Bonner was one of three Carver players accused. Carver coach Dell McGee said after the arrests that Bonner and the two others possibly could return to the team, but the undisclosed details of their punishments would prevent them from competing on the field for at least the first five games of the 2011 season.
