Top prospects predict Clemson/Georgia opener

It's prediction season from plenty of angles.

Clemson and Georgia taking the field in Atlanta (noon/ABC) is closer than ever, and we have more predictions on the table.

We have contacted several Clemson targets and commits to hear how they think Saturday’s opener plays out.

Here’s what they think.

Grant Wise - 2026 OG (Pace)

I think Clemson wins a close game. Clemson finished the year strong last season, and I feel they will be better up front this season. Clemson 28 Georgia 27

Logan Anderson - 2025 LB (Fyffe)

I think Peter Woods is going to have a night! He’s going to be in the backfield all game. Clemson 28 Georgia 14

Zelus Hicks - 2026 DB (Carrolton)

I say Georgia wins. It will be a close game but Georgia’s defense is going to win it. Georgia 35 Clemson 14

Rowan Byrne 2025 OT (Iona Prep)

I think Clemson ends up winning the game because of the offense development through the off-season and in year two with Cade at quarterback. I think the offensive line is going to have a big year, too, with Coach Luke being on the staff! If I have to predict a score, I’d say 24-21 Clemson.

Maxwell Riley - 2026 OT (Avon Lake)

I think Clemson will win 21-17. I think both defenses do very well, but Clemson’s OL also does very well, leading Phil Mafah to run for two touchdowns.

Bear McWhorter - 2026 OG (Cass)

It will be a great game. Right now, I like the Tigers 28-24. I think they've got a chip on their shoulder and will find a way to win when it matters.

Darius Gray - 2026 OG (St. Christophers)

I think it'll be a great game; two very good teams going at it! It can go any way! Whichever team comes out harder will win! It will definitely be a close score! I think UGA takes it 27-23.

Easton Ware - 2025 OT (Lynchburg)

I think the line is going to have a big jump in confidence and is going to have an amazing game. My final score prediction is 21-14 Clemson.

Brock Bradley - 2026 QB (Spain Park)

31-27 Clemson. They have all the talent they need to win this game. The turnover battle will be big.

Tae Harris - 2025 DB (Cedartown)

I think the defense will win the game in the end, thanks to a huge stop on the last drive and Khalil Barnes's interception, 27-20.

Blake Hebert - 2025 QB (Greenwich)

I'm taking the Tigers all day. I don't have a score prediction, but I know orange and purple will win.

Amare Adams - 2025 DT (Florence)

The defense causes a few turnovers. Cade has his “I’m here” game, and Clemson wins 22-19.

Gideon Davidson - 2025 RB (Lynchburg)

Mafah to the rescue. OL wins the trenches. Cade and company air it out. Clemson's defense is second to none.
