Report: Former Clemson DB to transfer to AWC

Former Clemson safety Jefferie Gibson will transfer to Arizona Western College (JUCO) in Yuma, Arizona according to multiple reports.

The 2014 Matadors won the El Toro Bowl to finish with an 11-1 record. Former Matadors that have played in the NFL include RB Chuck Muncie, RB/WR Leonard Thompson, RB Damien Williams, S Maurice Alexander, DE/OLB Randy Gregory, TE E.J. Bibbs and several others.

Gibson played in 12 games this past season and had six total tackles.

The Tigers will have Korrin Wiggins, Jadar Johnson, Tanner Muse, Denzel Johnson and Van Smith to fill the void from the safety position with the departures of safeties Jayron Kearse, T.J. Green and Gibson.
