5-star linebacker recruit and Clemson target Rahshaun Smith has three official visits planned.
"I’ve got three official visit set up," said Smith via ESPN.com on Wednesday. "So I got Clemson, Maryland and Auburn set up. I have Auburn Nov. 14 for the Georgia game, Clemson Dec. 11 and Maryland Dec. 4." He is still trying to figure out a fourth school to schedule an official visit with. Clemson appears to be in decent shape to land the 5-star linebacker prospect and former Clemson commit. "At the end of the day, I didn’t decommit from Clemson because my thoughts had changed on them," Smith said. "I just wanted to go through the process. If I had to put the schools in order as of today, they would probably be my No. 1. Clemson makes you feel so at home. Even once I decommitted, I’ve talked to a lot of the players and they still show me love, tell me to go through the process and then come to Clemson if it’s where I want to be. I still talk to (defensive coordinator) [Brent] Venables almost every day." As a junior, Smith had 111 tackles, ten tackles for loss, three sacks and two interceptions. He has national offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Boston College, Clemson, Connecticut, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Wisconsin and others.
