Darius Gaither has quickly climbed back onto the Clemson board. It appeared early that both parties were looking elsewhere. Now, it appears they are both on the same page.
"Things with Clemson are definitely starting to pick up. I went to their camp this past weekend, the seven on seven. We performed really well as a team." Clemson had previously offered Gaither, but the offer was reaffirmed during the camp. "I talked with the new defensive coordinator Coach Koenning and Coach Burns. They both told me how I would fit in at Clemson, and that they need to sign two safeties this year. A shot at early playing time is a big factor with me." Gaither is one of the fastest prospects Clemson is recruiting this year. Do not expect a decision from Gaither anytime soon. "I am in no hurry to make a decision. I want to enjoy my senior season without being distracted with recruiting. There are several schools I am looking at, and I will wait to announce any leaders. It will be January or February before I make a decision." Clemson, South Carolina, Auburn, Tennessee, Maryland, NC State, and North Carolina have offered Gaither.
