Guesley Dervil - Defensive Back
Height: 5-11   Weight: 177   Hometown: Jacksonville, FL (White HS)   Class: 2005
ESPN: NR

Guesley Dervil is a very highly sought after defensive back. Coaches refer to his abilities to fly to the ball from everywhere. One coach told us that no matter where the play went on the field Dervil would have an impact on the play.

Dervil currently lists his top five as NC State, Clemson, Florida, FSU, and Alabama.

"Clemson and NC State stay in touch with me the most right now. I will take my official visits in January. My SAT score comes in tomorrow, and I want to see how that looks first."

As many were today, Dervil was shocked by the firing of Florida Coach Ron Zook and his entire staff.

"There is nothing really I can say. I guess they have to handle their business. I don't know about that whole situation. You don't fire someone in the middle of the season, especially before a big game. I am still interested, but it definitely makes you step back and look at somethings."

Dervil hopes to be at Clemson for the matchup against NC State this weekend, but has a tall order Friday he must take care of.

"I want to go to the game between Clemson and NC State, but we have a big game Friday night. I'll have to see how the game goes first. We are playing for the district title."
