Shaq Lawson excels at football and basketball at Daniel High School.
His friend DeAndre Hopkins also played both sports as a Daniel Lion and is currently a star wide-out for the Clemson football team and a back-up guard in basketball.
ESPN gives Lawson an 82 grade as a basketball prospect and a #72 power forward position ranking.
However, his coach has already said that he is committed and will concentrate on playing football over basketball.
Clemson has offered Lawson to play football for next year's recruiting class.
According to Upstate Today:
"Walhalla High School senior Isaac Williamson and Daniel junior Shaq Lawson, both All-State selections, were each named Co-Player of the Year(Basketball) for the Western 3A region, as voted by the region’s coaches on Feb. 9 and released with its final teams being eliminated from the playoffs Friday night."
