He is down to his final eight schools - Tennessee, Alabama, Clemson, South Carolina, FSU, Mississippi, Florida and Georgia. He grew up a Clemson fan but is open to other schools on his final list.

Jones has offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida State, Ole Miss, Southern Cal, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Kentucky, Arkansas, South Carolina, LSU, and others. Clemson offered on 3/3/13.

He is originally from Piedmont, SC and played at locally at Wren(HS). Jones was a Shrine bowl player his senior season. In 2013 on the gridiron, he had 49 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, and a forced fumble.

Whatever school he chooses, he will have three years of eligibility to play two seasons and will enroll early in January.
