Nuk Hopkins' injury update

According to Texans' head coach Gary Kubiak, former Clemson WR Nuk Hopkins might be able to play Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys.

has moved to stage four of five in the NFL’s concussion protocol and could play Thursday during the Texans’ final preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington.

Hopkins, who suffered a head injury Aug. 17 against Miami, also may practice Wednesday.

“He’s doing good,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Tuesday after a team luncheon at a Galleria-area hotel. “He has not been totally cleared to return to practice. … He did do a lot of work (Tuesday) with the trainers.”
