Undrafted free agent rookie Mark Fields made an NFL roster -- but not the one he spent the lead-up to the season on.

The Kansas City Chiefs traded Fields to the Minnesota Vikings ahead of the final 53-man roster cuts, the Charlotte-area product landing a spot with the Vikings opening day roster.

Fields joins two more former Clemson products in the Vikings secondary, with Mackensie Alexander and Jayron Kearse.

Fields totaled 45 stops, five for loss, and an interception over 48 games at Clemson.

The Vikings open the season hosting the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 8.
