The MLB Draft begins in a few hours and a couple prospects with Clemson ties could hear their name called.

Picks 1-78 from the first and second rounds plus some ‘Competitive Balance’ selections will be announced tonight starting at 7 p.m. on MLB Network and MLB.com.

An MLB.com mock draft Monday has Seth Beer going in the first round to the Boston Red Sox at pick No. 26.

“Beer is a polarizing player in this year's Draft,” MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo said, “but he has on-base skills and legit power.”

Mayo also has Clemson signee and Grayson (Ga.) outfielder Parker Meadows going No. 22 overall to the Colorado Rockies.

A Sporting News projection has Beer being picked at No. 27 to the Washington Nationals.

Tuesday will be rounds 3-10 of the draft starting at 12:30 p.m. ET with it being aired on MLB.com. The remaining rounds come on Wednesday starting at noon on MLB.com.

On MLB.com’s top-200 prospects, Meadows is No. 42, Beer follows at No. 45, fellow Clemson junior Ryley Gilliam is No. 127, shorstop signee Charles Mack is No. 133 and LHP signee Justin Wrobleski is No. 177.

Beer and Gilliam earned All-American honors with Beer hitting .301 with an ACC-leading 22 home runs, as well as 54 RBIs, and Gilliam paced the conference with 11 saves and finished with a 1.41 ERA.

Clemson coach Monte Lee talked about Beer’s impact at Clemson during a Sunday night press conference:
