Leonard had offers from Arizona, Boston College, Clemson, Maryland, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and several others. His father and a grandmother have graduated previously from FSU. He had visited Clemson for the 2013 Dabo Swinney football camp. In 2012, he was named 2nd team All-state. Leonard is the 24th member of FSU's 2014 recruiting class.
