A sizable offensive lineman and talent picked up a Clemson offer after a visit to the campus this week.
Four-star Warwick, Rhode Island offensive tackle Xavier Truss, listed 6-foot-7 and 325 pounds, made his first stop at Clemson Wednesday. He is rated as high as the No. 8 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 1 player in Rhode Island. "Blessed to receive an offer from Clemson University," Truss posted on Twitter Friday night. Truss’ recruitment has picked up over the last couple months, drawing offers from Georgia, Southern California, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas in February, which added to a list from January including Florida State, Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan and Penn State. Truss visited Penn State and Boston College last fall and is currently on a trip where he's also set to visit Georgia, Alabama, Auburn and make a return trip to Penn State.
